Composite Engineer
Job description:
As a composite engineer, you are responsible for translating customer requirements into high-quality composite end products. You will work on a variety of tasks throughout the development and production process, including:
- Translating customer specifications into composite product designs
- Performing strength and stiffness calculations
- Creating laminate schedules
- Preparing production workflows
- Ordering or calling off raw materials (no commercial negotiations involved)
- Designing models and moulds using 3D CAD (e.g. Rhino or SolidWorks)
- Converting model/mould designs into CNC files
- Operating a 5-axis CNC milling machine
- Participating in hands-on production activities when necessary
Profile:
- Higher professional education (HTS) in aerospace engineering or similar
- Knowledge of AutoCAD
- Experience with 3D CAD design (Rhino/SolidWorks)
- Familiar with state-of-the-art composite technologies
- Accurate and detail-oriented
- Team player with a proactive and enthusiastic attitude
- Eager to learn and develop new skills
You will be in contact with:
- Customers
- Raw material and technology suppliers
- Engineering firms
